I got this CD with great expectations and after a quick look at the inlay card I realized they would all be fulfilled in inspirational fashion. As well as Matt the album features a duet with American worshippers SONICFLOOd and 3 tracks with the London Gospel Community Choir. The tracks are mixed in the main by two people Martin Smith from Delirious? and Russ Long who works with Sixpence, and to add to that it was mastered by the same man who mastered the 8 times platinum Travis album the man who.
The CD gets started with an energetic song called Take the world But give me Jesus, a strong message is combined with brilliant style to give us possibly the best track on the album. The songs flow from this point on with a impressive collection of both contemporary and ballad style worship songs. The ballad that stood out the most for me was King of This Heart, it had a strong memorable lyric and a musical style that would make even the most accomplished musician proud. O Sacred King also makes an appearance on the album after its outings on Movation 2000 and Led to the Lost. The duet with SONICFLOOd is called Holy Moment and has a very poppy style to it. With the songs based biblically based on a wide range of books from Zephania to Hebrews we are sure this album will not dissapoint. Its definitely going to number one in the Christian charts, its been awaited for so long it will sell by the sackfull. |
