One group - Three artists, that's what the hype is about this EP, in case you have missed the last decade of Christian music DC Talk have spent some time at the forefront with there pioneering blend of styles. This CD will give you a taste of each of the three artists solo styles, containing two songs from each of the solo albums as well as a live DC Talk favorite. So to review this we though we would look at each artist's contribution separately.

Michael Tait, Michael's part on this CD contains two tracks "Alibi" and "All you got". We can see the quite rocky influences in Michael's music with the first song "Alibi". His second contribution is slightly calmer and shows off his vocal talents better, with strong, clear lyrics and rhythm it is definitely one of the highlights of the CD.
Toby McKeehan's contributions are "Extreme Days" and "Somebody's Watching" Extreme Days was also featured on the soundtrack for the film of the same and is quite an out and out rock song, which will go down a real treat with rock fans. A "Somebody's Watching" shows us that much of DC Talk's Hip-hop influences came from Toby, this track's style just like a chart hip-hop / rap song and is very well worked.
Kevin Max contributed the two songs "Return of the singer" and "Be". "Return of the Singer" is a bizarre style of music drawing from many influences and showing a strong unique style. Its probably best described as a fusion between folk, pop and rock. It is quite edgy and I did not enjoy this track much, it is not a style, which appeals to me. "Be" is a different song all together, more mellow and mainstream, with a strong message about being your self.

The album also includes a popular DC talk concert track, recorded live, It's a really cool song and probably one of the best I've heard from DC talk as a group. If you are a fan of DC talk then this album will go down a treat and for the rest of us its still worth a listen if you are a fan of contemporary Christian music.
