God Is Here is the latest release from Bradford based Abundant Life Ministries and follows on straight where Divine Exchange left off. Worship Leader Lara Martin is back along with former Hillsong vocalist Mark Stevens, who is now Creative Director at the Abundant Life Centre. One notable absence from this CD is Gareth Gates who is currently pursuing a career in secular music. The album starts with a well-written, if a little un-adventurous instrumental prelude that flows neatly into the title track God is Here, penned by Lara Martin. Musically the album will be familiar territory to fans of the previous albums, with worshipful ballads throughout. I live to Worship is up tempo and has a strong beat throughout I am Yours is a track that stands out as one which will undoubtedly be popular, written by Jonathan James it takes a more modern sound than much of the rest of the album with the passion filled chorus of “I am Yours Lord, I am Yours!” Although musically similar, this album does however stand out from the other releases on production quality, the quality has improved a hundred percent and this album clearly demonstrates the vast skills of the people involved in the production aspects. It is good to see a British organisation outputting work of this kind of quality and I am sure everyone will be eagerly awaiting the next release!
